Don't worry, I'm in the same boat - the young ones grew up with a keyboard glued to their fingers - we did not - I think we overcame a great challenge! Kudos to you!

Personally, from what I've seen on here, not too many people can really judge others about bad typing, because I would estimate that about 80% of it is atrocious. I think our culture views grammatical and punctuation errors as a sign of a lack of intelligence and/or education, even when in reality nothing may be farther from the truth. It's sort of ironic since it seems to me that grammatical errors on this website are far more abundant than any other message-board type of site on the Internet.

It's enough to drive you crazy watching someone hunt and peck on the keyboard. What's worse? Waiting for someone to hunt and peck out an answer to you when you're instant messaging them. I'm probably as old or older than you are - there was only one male in my typing class - so I'd venture a good guess, you're not alone. Don't worry about it; most young kids can't spell. That's probably part of the reason why they developed all of these cute text message abbreviations :) tc

Your grammar and sentence structure is ok, capitalization is a minor thing, at least on the web. ThE YouNGer oNes seem to think that random caps is ok.
As for typing badly, just use the hunt'n'peck method. No one is timing your word rate.
Remember, this is all to have fun and gather information (or show off what you already know)

This is kind of funny because I'm just the opposite, an older guy that gets mad at kids for their bad typing.
The only part of getting mad at you I understand is the caps. Being a text chat guy, I totally understand that. Caps is shouting in chat and in my mind it sounds like shouting. It's jarring mentally.
I understand that it doesn't make much sense, but it does add stress reading caps, at least for me.

I don't know cause half the questions on here seem to be badly typed and spelled. And a lot of the younger kids asking questions are not even using proper grammar or spelling! You need to try to decipher the words cause they write in slang terms.

I say you ignore them and get on with your life. Half of the time I can't figure out what this high school kids are trying to ask to this site. It is frustrating but no reason to lash out on them. My mom can't type well either but it's no big deal. At least she learned how to use the computer and the internet like you did.

Actually there are MANY people on the internet who type MUCH worse than you. Some of them are foreigners, but I'd say most of them speak English as a first language. It's just sad.

Why do you use a comma instead of a period? Did you graduate from a real college or did you earn your degree from a cereal box top company? It's not your typing that bothers me, it's your command of the English language.
