First of all, relax. The doc is a professional and has seen it ALL before...
They'll do the standard vital checks, temp, blood pressure, etc. They'll ask lots of questions about your medical history and your sex life. Be honest.. As far as the "exam"...
They insert a metal or plastic speculum into your vagina and then they open it a few notches. This has a slight "pinch" sensation but is not painful, especially if you're nice and relaxed. Close your eyes and go to your "happy" place. He'll put a long q-tip inside you to get a swab. It's a funny sensation but not painful.
He'll put his fingers inside of you and use his other hand to feel your abdomen to feel your ovaries and uterus. He may put one finger into your anus to make sure everything there feels alright. He'll do a breast exam..the same one you should be doing once a month, with your arm raised over your head and your other hand checking the breast in circles, starting on the outside and working towards the nipple. He may squeeze the nipple to check for discharge. If it's a male doctor, he most likely will have a female nurse in the exam room the whole time.
I know it's hard not to be nervous your first time, but you'll be okay!! It's really not that bad...the modesty part is the worst if you're shy about your body. Just make sure you're nice and clean.
Good luck!

they are gonna tell you to take off your pants and underwear, if they are doing a breast exam they will tell you to take off bra too. Then the gynocologist will come in ask you a few questions and then he will examine you. What he/she will do is insert a device that will allow them to see your uterus. depending if you have had sex before, you might feel a little pressure, and then all he/she does is take a swap of your inside there, and another swap to scrap the uterin lining. Then they will remove the device, and he/she will insert 1 or 2 fingers and press down on lower abdomen to feel for lumps, and to make sure your uterus is straight. Then if it is your first time getting a pap usually they do a rectal exam to check for polyps or h. pylori. it sounds gross, but it lasts lik 1 second. and it wont hurt you. Then he will smear his finger on a rectangular tab, to check for h. pylori whch is a bacteria that is in some stool. Then he will tell you to sit more up, and do a breast exam, by feeling out for lumps. It sounds like alot but its great you are getting this done. You shouldnt be nervous, i just explained everything to the T. I am a Medical Assistant and i assist with pap and womens exams every day. good luck!

Don´t go!!! The medical System has fooled us all along! They need money and we women are the biggest business ever! You can do a swap yourself. They can check you out without having to "rape" you. Sorry this is how I felt and never went back. They don´t give a **** about you as a person. They may have seen in all as someone told you, but you have never been opened up as a piece of meat. Have an stranger look inside your vagina and stick things inside!
Don´t go dear. The medical system is the biggest PIMP we women have encountered ever. My grandmother never went! my grand grand mother never went! Hey I am here! I am over 30 and I am more than fine. Oh yes a woman doctor onces raped me and I had to pay a lot of money for it!
But hey women, it is ok. The pimp have told us that we are gonna died from cancer if not! So go ahead (I am being ironical). A pamp smear is useless so you know! Do a swap yourself, bring it to the laboratory and ask them to do check on the outside (what they do to pregnant woman--don´t know the word in English sorry) if you have any problem in the uterus. Easy. Don´t get naked dear, it is truly humiliating. It takes 10seconds! I was raped by them in 10 seconds. Haven´t been able to over come it, and have anxiety attacks since then. Ohhh I even faint here and there, I am not lying. Of course "it was for my own good, I was told!)
**** IT.

They are going to have an initial consultation and discuss any concerns you may have. They doctor will usually describe what will happen during the examination.
A nurse will lead you to the examination room, you may be given a gown and asked to undress.Your weight, height and blood pressure will be taken. You lay down on the table and the dr. will start with a breast examination. They will show you how to do one yourself. They will feel your abdomen. And ask you to open your legs for a pap smear (Shaving prior to the exam is advised). They will take a clamp probably plastic disposable one, stick in your vagina and start to jack it open. When the doctor has it open wide enough, he will lock the clamp. He will check for any physical abnormalities and odors. Then he will take an extra long Q tip , insert it into your vagina and swipe your cervix. This culture will be used to check for any diseases, cancer... You make have to submit blood and urine for additional screening.
The MOST important thing is to relax during the examination just close your eyes and imagine the sexiest guy in the universe. Your body will respond by opening up and make it easier for u and the Dr.

They will go over your medical history, ask if you are sexually active, talk to you about birth control if you are. Be sure to answer the questions they ask honestly...even if it's embarrasing. The doctor should have a nurse come in and then the doc will do a breast exam on you and then the pap smear. It will be a little uncomfortable and you may get mild cramping, but it's over before you know it.

They ask you to change into a hospital gown , and then lay on the table and they will come in and will tell you there will be some pressure and then depending on what "size" you are they will use a metal or plastic piece to open the vagina its lubed up though , so no worries , if you have had sex it really doesnt hurt , but if you are a virgin it hurts a little more .Then they look and make sure everything looks ok and take a culture with a swab down there and take the piece out , you clean up change and your done .Hope I helped ....

the nurse will ask you when the first day of your last period was
she will take vitals heart rate blood pressure and such
then she will ask you if you have had any STD's then she will ask you to get undressed (After she leaves the room) and put on a robe thing so you do that bra & panties (I always leave my socks on) then the doctor will come in and ask you questions if you have a good doctor they will knock before entering the room and then they should
might push on your belly a lil bit and ask if that hurts and then he might check your breast to make sure that there are not any lumps then he will put you in these things called stir ups and thats where your feet go then he will ask you to move down on the table then he will probally tell what going on but he will take some ky jelly and put it on this thing that looks like a duck bill and insert it and you might fell it a little its just like presure and he will swaob the area and look inside to see is everything is ok and if so then its all over with you get dressed after he leaves and thats pretty much it

It's nerve-racking because it's your first time, but this will become not such a big deal as you get older and more used to the doctor having to see you womanly parts.
They usually tell you to remove your clothes and put on a gown, then... after you are really freezing your buns off, waiting for the doctor to return to the chilly room, the doc finally comes in and examines your breast tissue, and pokes around on your abdomen as well.(I am ticklish and this always makes me squirm and laugh). Then, last but not least...they put your feet up in the stirrups and spread your legs apart.
He takes a metal thingy and sticks it up inside of you and adjusts it so that it opens up your vagina all the way. He then takes a fairly long, skinny thing and inserts up inside you in order to scrape the tissue on your cervix. This is how they test for cancerous cells and other harmful tissue.
Don't worry though. It is awkward your first time, but it is just a part of being a woman and does not hurt. Just relax and get it all over with, and take comfort in the fact that you are being healthy by having this test done.

be sure and be prepared....lol...they are going to stick a metal thing inside of you and crank it open. Hopefully you will be lucky and go to a place that warms it up first..otherwise it will be very cold...and unpleasant..they will put some lube on ya to make it go in easier and then they when they have you cranked open they will stick in a long cotton swab thing and swap around, and then they will stick in there fingers and push on your stomach with the other hand. after they will take it out and do a breast exam. the more relax you are the better it will go

I had mine done on Jan 5th of this year and everything was fine. there will be pressure down there but thats normal you might bleed a little bit after and you might feel like you have the need to pee thats all normal. just relax and don't stress about it.
