The water on the hose could be rain water or it could be water splashed on the hose from out of the hose.Or you
could have spilled the water you were drinking on the
hose.It is really hard to guess where it came from without
more information.

On a hot day the cooler water inside the hose will cause the hose to sweat. This sweat is the water on the hose.

it comes out the end that isn't attached to the faucet. But the water comes from a pipe in the ground that changes into a faucet.
