I don't think it scares people ...
I think it just unnerves them a little.
Like they think I'm up to something or have some kind of inside information that I'm not telling them.

My calm demeanor doesn't necessarily scare people, it's just hard for people to understand my reactions when i'm supposed to be all angry or sad about something and i'm not becuase it doesn't really affect me as much because of how calm I am.

In my experience a calm demeanor is often mistaken as being aloof and that scares people off.

Usually it is more soothing to people who are amped or freaking out. But occasionally people don't understand how I can remain on an even keel and ask if I know the situation.

Honestly, no. People are too stupid to realize that I'm being quiet because I'm commiting thier words to memory in the hopes of obtaining future retribution.

I don't know... I was told by my ex that it was my mood swings that scared him... so I don't think so. Believe me, I wasn't too happy about that one!
