Like 3 days ago my computer was working fine, it was soooo fast. It had some games in it and we used the internet. Then like 2 days ago that i turned it on it took like 10 minutes to start when it would only take 30 seconds before. and when i try to open a programm it will take like 30 minutes. Also the screen got stretched, and i dont know why. It just suddenly got mega slow, and i want to fix this. Tell me if you know what caused it or if you know how to fix it/.

If your PC used to be faster, or is acting strangely, it's probably infected with malware. Use the link below to learn more about "malware".

Then, you need to install: ONE Anti-virus (AVG free), ONE Firewall (Zone Alarm free), and Anti-spyware tools like: Windows Defender, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster and cCleaner (free, use all 5 regularly).

Google for them, install them and learn how to use (use Help TAB).

TIP: Last resort, back up (copy to CD / DVD / external hard drive) all personal data and do a Windows "Clean Install", get more info at (www.theeldergeek.com). The apps above can only clean up so much.

i give you reason and how u checked 1 . viruses - for check virus you use anti virus or some time you check use right click on your task bar and show the task manager open or not ? if open so that not a virus . 2 . hard disc not running properly - for this reason de-fragging your hard disk. 3 . Could be your computer windows partition memory is full so check the temp folder . open run and press %temp% ok. and delete all or you use ccleaner which is remove all temp file and some UN-required registry file. 4 . Could be it's too hot, CPU and GPU can be affected by high temperatures for your CPU fan not running properly .

i'm no expert but i've had this same problem before. your computer needs defragmenting(that means gathering up all the files you've downloaded over time, and putting them neatly together so your computer will speed up some)also the disk drives need cleaning. heres what you do:
click on "start" then "control panel" then maintenance, you should see your disk drives there, highlight the one you use the most and then click on "defragment", go have a cup of coffee for this will take awhile, but do not stop the defragmenting, let it run until its finihed. after its finished, just click "ok or close".

next click on "start", them "my computer
you should see the letters of your drives there, like c or d or e, right click on the c drive, then click on "properties, another window will open up, click on "disk cleanup", that only takes a short time. do that on each letter you see there. thats what i did and now my computer runs faster. good luck, hope this helps.

interesting, it does not make sense how a computer gets mega slow, did you download something, it should go the same speed like 3 days ago, but it didnt. try running system restore, just restore it back in time, in the past. u suing XP?
if you use ME, or XP, there is a utility called system restore.
you can restore the computer back in time, even three days ago. or depending on when you did a system restore..

Firstly check MEMORY CARDS (change this already installed with new - if you can lend him from some of your friends). It looks that one of already installed memory cards (RAM) not work correctly. Veradisca & Best Regards, Neven.
