It seems like this forum is just a bunch of students asking for multiple choice or other answers of their homework problems. As a PhD chemist, I thought I might have something to offer. Is there somewhere else that people who really need help or want to better understand things go?

Well actually there is. Google Answers is a place where you have to pay to get your questions answered and the answers are given by experts in the relevant fields.

Part of the fun of this site is answering the American (and Far East and Indian) High School chemistry questions - and watching how many wrong answers get given by people who ought to know better!
Very few really searching questions get answered.
