i don't know. you would think they would have run out of #'s by now. they will probably have to go to more #'s on the plate. My plate is IMN.LUV

As far as I know, they are given out in a particular numerical and alphabetical order depending on when the first car is registered. We have a license plate number that's still in use from the late 1930s and it's only 3 digits.
If one plate is 473JLV the next printed may be 473JLW.
