Yes! Black white or Sky Blue Pink are racist, people prefer their own. Reference has been n,made to the recent Big Brother programme on Channel 4.

The Jade Goody incident should have been stopped and not allowed to carry on but it was for and only for rating purposes.

The more recent event seems to have been blown up out of all proportion. A quiet word in that young lady's ear would have been more affective but it would have not got the ratings.

Channel 4 is the best argument for censorship. It would be a bad day if it came to pass, because of this sort of stupidity. Do they not realise that in allowing this sort of thing to be repeated and repeated ruins lives or is that part of the entertainment

What I find is the most difficult thing is to portray the right image to other people. As an older white person brought up in Britain before it was to be termed multicultural it is more difficult to assimilate than for younger people for whom it is more natural. In my younger days there were no black people, there were no Indians and Pakistan didn't exist then. The only foreigners I can recall being spoken about were Chinese who were supposed to inhabit opium dens in Cable street in London. My innate natural reaction is to not accept that the Britain I loved is no more and want to reject the people I see as interlopers. This I suppose would make me a racist in a lot of peoples eyes.I basically think of myself as a nice person, respectful to others, honest, care about my family ,love animals. wouldn't hurt a fly,but if I dare say a word out of place I am immediately vilified. Is it so wrong to want to live my life peaceably but not be surrounded by people of what I consider alien races.Perhaps if every body had to stay in the land of their birth for the whole of their life there would not be these problems. I would stress that I do not wish harm on anybody. I just want to live my life as I wish.I am nearly 80 years old and remember England as it used to be, Much better than now.

The Human Geonome project mapped the human gene, one point that appears to have gone mainly unnoticed is that beneath the color of all our skins we all basically related - Now isnt that a reality check for those occassions we may have said something offensive and racist to a family member no matter how distant the relationship !

I wouldn't say everyone, but most people have some sort of racist thought at any given time, but after that whole Shilpa vs. Jade/Danielle/Jo/Jack thing, Channel 4 really has to be careful not to get into any more trouble with Ofcom.

I think everyone is racist at some point but, it is worse if you are arguing with a person of another skin colour, or someone with a different skin colour does something to upset you.

Its not so much as racist its common sense. Like most people I accept them when they are in there own country. Those in this country should accept when in Rome do as the Romans do. Like we have to when we go to their country

maybe when people are naive they are racist or they have had a bad experiance with racism themselves, but i think as soon as people think then they realise its stupid and evil. just because you dont like a person who is a different colour doesnt mean you shouldnt like anyone of that colour becasue people are all different!
