My Grandmother made chicken and dumplings that were out of this world, but the recipe died with her.

my grannies too.. man i love me some chicken n dumplings are you from the south? cuz her next recipe was her banana pudding or her black berry cobbler. i cant choose ( now i;m hungry )

Nana#1 lasagna homemade noodles, sauce, everything but the ricotta soooo good
Nana #2 eggplant Parmesan or this cinnamon roll type pastry thing never seen or had it anywhere else she wrote down the recipe for the pastry but it never comes out right has Alzheimer's can't remember my dad let alone how to cook

Mine made chicken and dumpling that were to die for as well.. but my FAVORITE thing she made was something she had a strange name for but were a lot like an individula spanikopita.. in lillte triangles with spinach and feta cheese.. now THOSE were the bomb.. but she ALSO took the recipe with her when she went! Guess there eating yummy food in heavan tahnks to all the grandmas out there!!

Same with my Grandma, she had the best chicken and dumplings. Other people tried to make them, they could not hold a candle to hers. She died when I was in 5th grade. Haven't had any good dumplings since.

Na, my dad is the master on chicken and dumplings. My grandma could make a rhubarb pie that no one can recreate.

My gran makes the most amazing mashed potato and her yorkshire pudding actually look like yorkshire puddings with the hole in the middle. She's shown me how to do it loads of times but mine still end up like little footballs.

Potato salad - my aunts and my cousins and I have been trying for years to get the recipe just right but none of us have hit it yet. I've come the closest but it's still not quite "it".
