Um, yes, thank you noobs for you sage wisdom about the purpose of the asterisk security. However, I am not concerned about security, I have a password for a router that I seem to have written down incorrectly and since I know Mac's can reveal passwords, I was wondering if there was a trick in Windows XP could do the same.

Anyone?

if you've already typed in the password, then you can go to snadboy.com and download Revelation. Once it's installed, put the cursor over the asteriks and it will show you what's written. other than that, there isn't really any way.

No, the asterisks are a security feature. It allows you to type your password while others are looking over your shoulder.
