all my life, both animals and people. since my hubby & I were married, we have had someone living with us since we were married 3 weeks. we'd take in any family or friend that need a place to live. my Dad lived with us for 36 yrs. he just passed away a yr. ago. my husband passed away in 2000. I still have one of my daughters, my grandson and my daughters boyfriend living with me. I just wish that my husband & I could have had more time alone. but we were always there for anyone who needed us and I am still doing it. someday I hope someone will do the same for me if needed. I always take care of all the stray cats outside, feed them, let them sleep on the screened in patio, but not in the house, I have 2 idoor cats.

I took in this stray puppy when I was a teenager... She was so cute, with a very ragged coat... I named her stains.

One day, my sister accidentally let her out of the front door, and she ran down the block. Naturally, I ran after her, trying to catch her...

So, here I was, 14 years old, running down the street screaming at the top of my lungs COME STAINS!!! COME, STAINS!!!!!

Not long after, the neighbors took up a petition asking our family to move. I'm not sure why though....

Yes. The poor thing. She was a member of the Swedish Olympic ski and bikini team. My wife would not let me keep her. She was so adorable as well as house trained. I hated to see her go.

pets all the time. I've had countless dogs, several cats, even birds and lizards. Once they get better (or the weather gets warmer) I release them.
