Can't think of anything surprising, really. Just an Ozzie country boy of typically mixed forbears, Irish, Arab, English convicts, with great stories. Worked as a journalist, PR consultant on early nuclear research, first Oz oil search etc, farmer, film-maker, horseman, crafts person, writer. Met lots of remarkable people. Took over a family retail business I swore I'd never have anything to do with, grew it, sold out and retired at 49 to pursue Green issues and politics. Sailed with succession of boats from age five to 70, and from 6ft to 50ft. Bred a couple of remarkable kids cleverer than me. Doesn't everybody? So no surprises, but there's the story in a nutshell - although my memoirs are now about 700,000 words and I'm only up to age 42 or thereabouts, so that's something. To paraphrase Lady Macbeth - who would have thought the old man had so many words in him. Why, everyone who knows me. So that's no surprise either. Hello Moon (my favorite planet)

I am a great person to be around. I am always, almost always in a good mood. 99.999% of the time. This is just how I am, no happy pills involved. I love smiling, and because I am still young, I really don't mind smile lines. I've never done drugs or smoked anything. Never even been tempted to do those two things either.
