That's odd that your doctor didn't really do much. Did she listen to your breathing to see if you had pneumonia or bronchitis? Did she press down on the right side of your chest? Have you had a fever or anything? She must have said something other than I can't give you anti-inflamatory medication as you are pregnant.....If you needed that...she must have said why*
If it's still very painful I would go to the emerg , just because your doctor said it's probably nothing...doesn't mean she's right. Rather be safe than sorry, I would be getting seen to again. Since you've had a cold on and off for past 9 weeks..and you're 7weeks pregnant., I wouldn't be taking any chances. Something doesn't sound right* (could be allergys for past 9weeks (with your cold) but to say your right lung is hurting...somethings not right. Pls get seen to again...by someone else..and best wishes with your pregnancy*

Well, if it were something serious going on in you lungs, your doctor would have referred you to a specialist. It's nothing serious. The cold that you have has lasted for a very long time and coughing (if you been coughing) over exerts the lungs when its going on for quite sometime, so it has become sore. Like when you exercise, muscles that you normally would not move as much become very sore. That's all that is wrong with you in my opinion. Also, your pregnant and anything that goes on in the first three months always seems to be worse because your body is going through changes. So just calm down and breath in and out slowly. You should try breathing exercises, like taking very deep breaths and holding it for a few seconds (3 sec.) and releasing. By doing this you are exercising your lungs. Try three of these and write me in the morning. Blessings!!!

I would not worry. You probably have some inflammation caused by the cold, pleurisy.

Pleurisy. A condition in which the lining of the lungs (the pleura) is inflamed. It often causes localized pain on the chest wall. Patients with this condition may experience pain with each breath, and pain that intensifies with deep breathing and coughing.

There are foods you can eat to help with the inflammation and also supplements.

This is probably a sore or a reaction to sudden change in your diet. Just watch what you eat and make sure your breathing is normal. It also could simply be a side affect of your cold in which case the best thing to do is give it time. If it doesnt go away within a week seek medical attention again.

I'm sure people don't die from Yahoo! answers, goodness, cut with the drama. The women is asking a simple question that she is concerned about, if you don't have anything nice to say, then I suggest you don't say it.

I agree with the fact that it could be Asthma/coughing. Your lungs could be just a little worn out. Take it easy, if it continues then head to the hospital just to be safe.

You might have pulled a muscle from coughing or it might be your body growing and moving around to accomidate your new baby. I would just take it easy for a few days and if it gets worse go see your doctor on Monday. Congrats by the way!!
