We just brought this GE microwave last night at Wal Mart. We brought it home and plugged it up as soon as we plugged it up it came on by itself. So we try to push the off button but it will not turn off. Is there something we are suppose to do? Or would it be best to get another one? My husband says he thought some of them ran by theirselves when you first but them but I have never heard of that. Help please

Get another one. By no means is that the way it is supposed to operate. Especially if the off button won't shut it off.

Return it to the store and get another one. A microwave should only come on by itself if it has a delay button and you have programmed it to do so. It shouldn't come on as soon as you plug it in.

I would return it. I have never seen one come on when the power was supplied and not be able to cancel to turn it off. You DID try the cancel button, right?

DEFECTIVE !!! don,t use it. Bring back to store and get another..
