A. Using a magnet will work since iron has a magnetic charge.
B. The salt is water soluble and the iron is not. The iron will be caught in a filter when you pour the water through. Once the water evaporates you will have the salt left.
Thus you have two choices, so d.

Water might work. First remove iron with magnet. Stir in water until ingredients are covered about an inch or two above the surface. Stir gently a few times or until the sand sinks to the bottom, and the poppy seeds float to the top. Seperate the sand and poppy seeds by skimming the seeds up. drain the sand through a sifter. But as far as the salt. It will dissolve in water. If you are using rock salt, quickly get that ingredient out first, before the other ingredients and before it all dissolves. Then at last, boil remaining water until evaporates and collect remailing salt. Let me know how it turns out, OK?

Greetings.
A. Use a Magnet to attract iron filings.Hmmm! Now what are you going to do with a furry magnet covered in iron filings. That's what I want to know.?
If you're a particularly tidy person you could decant the salt that's left and use. Or just throw it over your Left shoulder if you're Superstitious. If you're untidy, lazy, you'll leave it for Mom to sweep up. tut tut!! he! he!
Ciao enjoy!

either a or b should work, though using a magnet would be the easiest, quickest result.
