Ants do not live without "sleep." Their periods of rest, which are coordinated within the colony, usually last for a few minutes each 24 hour day. Even though they do not require the same type of "cerebral regeneration" that higher organism need, the outcome is the same. There is actually a great amout of research out there that can be accessed by simply devoting the time to surfing and studying. Have fun.

You need to ask Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and (when she gets out of jail) Paris Hilton.
A lot of people have accused these three (particularly Lindsay, whom one guy nicknamed "hotcrotch") of sleeping around a lot. But the word is that they never slept.

Ants & some insects. Not fishes..they appear to be awake as they have no eyelids. When they're sleeping, they are resting.
