My sister in-law sent me a e-mail on this six month old baby who has shaken baby syndrome which he got from his daycare. I don't understand why people do this. And while I'm on the subject I notice a lot of kids being hurt while in a at home daycare. Who gives people there license in the first place. I mean this lady shakes this baby and get's out on a 5000 bond dui's are more then that. Why do people do this!

i think people who do this should get severe penalties..i mean this is pretty much attempted murder we are talking about here..so why is it that 5000 dollars is enough to get them off the hook? i totally agree with the whole camera thing..i think that if you`re gonna leave your child with someone than you have every right to see what happens to your child when you are not around...i dont get how anyone can harm a child that way..if you can stand hearing them cry then chances are that you are in the WRONG profession....

People have to be sick in their heads big time to do this to a poor baby. I want to start a daycare but my husband does not want me to for liability issues but I told him I would put up cameras in every room to ensure the safety of the children/babies and if I seen any of my workers on video even so much as raise their voice in a manor that was not justifiable I would fire them on the spot and report them.
He still is not wanting me to do this so I will see what happens but it's people like this that gives the good day cares a bad name. I have a disabled son and this is the reason I have NEVER put him in daycare just because I don't trust other people and even more so since my son can not speak and cant tell us what would be going on so me and my husband have just watched him ourselves and worked different shifts to ensure his safety. I will keep this baby is my prayers for sure...

i also read this story and saw her myspace page. Its so sad! People like her, i just don't know. Some people think that its ok to take out their anger om poor innocent babies, proly cuz they have no heart or soul.
Yes so many kids get hurt at day cares. My cousin had her son in one and picked up a pair of siccors that the day care worker just left out on the desk, and he nearly cut his finger off, she tried to say she nicked him with it cuz he ran up behind her, if you saw the wound then you'd know she was a lying sack of sh*t.
Camers? I wish it was required! There are some that do, but not very many. I would never put my daughter in one even if they did have cameras. That doesn't stop them from hurting the kids. Me and my boyfriend work seperate shifts untill she gets older. Like when she starts going to school, then i'll proly work a day shift. I just love my baby too much to just put her in the hands of strangers. Certified of not. The daycare provider that watched this little boy was certifed. But does that make her a good baby sitter?

Most of the time people get frustrated when the baby is crying and there is really nothing they can do, but there is absolutely no excuse to shake a baby. I agree 5000 bond is not nearly enough these people should stay in jail for a long time.

I am not sure about having to do nanny cam's for people who do in home daycare. If it is run by that person, its against the law for the parents to spy on them w/out their permission. On the subject of Kaleb Reynolds, his daycare provider, gave all daycare providers a bad name by shaking that little boy.I am a nanny, and have been for 2 years.I have 6+ years of childcare experience, and have NEVER been THAT frustrated to injure a child. This is such a sad story, please keep this family in your prayers.

I don't know. Some people just lose their temper and just snap I suppose. But it needs to be punished. When you are applying to be a daycare provider, an extensive background check and such is done. But if that person had no priors and no background of child abuse, there is no reason that she shouldn't have gotten her license. I sure hope she can never watch kids again, though!

that is so sad.Her story and everything. She is on Cafemom.com and I saw his pics and all on there. Its so so so sad.I started to cry when I was reading it today. And I ran over to my 6 month old and held him and hugged him.I didn't want to let him go.I would sue the daycare person for lots of money for doing that. But that just me.
