found quite a large amount of money lying on the ground outside? Did you keep it?

I actually found about £600.00 in the street once in a tattered old bag...........
i handed it in, because as far as i was concerned it could have been some poor old pensioners life savings.....
And as it transpired........it was.
The gratitude i received for my honesty was worth more than any amount of money, and the poor old biddy`s look of relief when she asked for my address to come and thank me personally was worth a million dollars....!

Most I've ever found IN THE STREET was £5 (about 25 years ago)nowhere near any shops or houses so kept it.

I once found much more than that down the back of the seat of a dogem car at the fair, this about 30 years ago, I kept that as well - hell the fairground guys would have kept it themselves so why hand it to them

I found a large sum of money hidden in a rocky outcrop in the Prescelly hills in Wales,it belonged to the Welsh branch of the mafia known as the taffia and just as i was about to retrieve it someone hit me over the head with the but of a gun and i awoke 2 days later and the money was gone

I have never found a large amount of money, but if i did i would feel to guilty to just keep it.

I have found money on the ground.. But I didn't keep it.. well I mean I have found like a quarter on the ground.. and I did keep that but thats not that much money.

I Saw a man drop a big wad of money years ago in a market i raced after him to give it back he never even thanked me The funny thing is people who were there at the time said i was mad to give the money back.I felt it was the right thing to do

Yesterday morning, I was putting rubbish in the bin (in the street ready for emptying) and I noticed paper blowing towards me. I went to pick it up to bin it and it was £40. There was no-one around.
I took the money inside and put it safe. Later, when I was leaving for work, there was a lady up the street looking in the gutter and by car wheels.
I shouted up to ask if she'd lost anything to which she replied "Yes, my dads pension money"
I had to give it back. I couldn't live with myself if I,d kept it.

I found £20 once in Tesco's and kept it :) hahaha
If I found a wallet with money in I would return it and not keep any; but if in future I found a wad of cash again..... I'd probably keep it :)

i found £10 once on the street, but me and my friend were having such a bad day i saw it as a good sign and bought us ice cream with it to cheer us up. i was only 12 at the time so it seemed like big bucks...

not cash, but once found a sainsbury carrier bag containing some 500 E pills in the back of my cab one night, l handed them into my control office, who phoned the police etc
