I was wondering, when it comes to living arrangements, How come Victoria Newman won't get a place of her own? i mean, it's not like she can't afford it. I'm sure the houses in Wisconsin are pretty cheap. In past episodes she lived with her parents, and now she's thinking about moving in with JT. She runs a multi-million dollar company and she can't even be on her own? I also noticed the same thing with Ashley. She's a grown woman who lived with her older brother and father and she's a chemist who makes a lot of dough. What's up with that?

who knows! one would think Victoria would want to be as far away from her meddling parents as possible. as far as Ashley, I can understand why she stayed at home. John Abbot was entirely different and sweet. She's also a real daddy's girl as I am. I think if I were Ashley, I would have lived at home also. I would live at home with my dad and brother today. They are easy to get along with, don't meddle in my personal business, and respect my privacy. We would get along fabulously and it would be nice to sit at the dining table for all meals with them. My kids would love it too.

I was thinking the exact same thing! She's a big girl and has her own money and now she's gonna move back with her parents?! And then what happens when the baby comes, she gonna rely on her parents forever? It's ridiculous she shouldn't even be considering moving back with them! She needs to get an apartment and get a life outside of the newman house!

I thought she lived in a house w/Brad ( until recently) near the Newman ranch or on it - but it's probably just Brad's house- not on Newman land- she was living in.... If she moved out, recently, perhaps it was the combination of the stress of her bro's disappearance/death, her impending divorce and her miscarriage(?) AND her subsequent pregnancy. Maybe all that, along w/ her dad Victor's absence, has lead her back to the family compound for her & her Mom to mutually support each other, be there for each other.... ?
She's divorcing so she's in a transitional period...

i've had the same thought! it's crazy for her to not live on her own. i think it's a bad idea for her to move in with jt. and it's sad that jack had to alienate ashley and send her away before she moved out of that house. heck, if i made their kind of money you can bet that i would have my own house! :)

It's boring if they live by themselves..the more people in the household, the more drama unfolds..look at Phyliss, Sharon & Jack..we wouldn't want to look at Phyliss living at the Tack House now that she is alone with baby Summer

Because even though she has the money to burn, she's a needy, needy pathetic woman that needs someone there to caudle to her low self esteem as a woman. She needs to surround herself with yesmen to put her up on that pedastal she thinks she should be on, and if she's alone she'll have way too much time to think about how miserable (and ill-fashioned) she really is! (can you tell I'm a fan of hers?)

You don't know how many times I asked myself that question! I guess they cannot go live by themselves because then that would mean Y&R would have to spend some more money and make a new set!!!!

I think that if everyone had their own place, there would have to be more sets built, so to keep more people in the same home, cuts production costs.

Because the "strong" women who can fend for themselves are the ones in the roles of the villian....(e.g. Phyllis....Amber) both of those women have lived on their own.....all these other whining women play the victim role, and are completely dependant on others.
