Sorry, I don't believe in the electric chair. They should have electric bleachers.

With all due respect this is the wrong category, BUT, I'll offer some thoughts.

Quite obviously the DEATH PENALTY and EXECUTION have not made a significant impact on the number of capital crimes committed globally, hence some re-thinking should probably take place.

Certainly violent crimes, and most especially those that end in death to a victim, become emotional issues as well as litigated, legislated issues.

The cliches about anyones execution NOT changing the history of the reason for it, are blatantly clear. DO I believe in an eye for an eye? Probably on some low level,,,but does it alter the societal conciousness? NO!

It's pretty plain and clear to me, that as a species, we aren't much farther away than an arms length from the CAVE, and likely won't evolve to that, in my lifetime.

Do I destest taking an innocent life? Sure. Do I believe that it's ever enough medicine for those left behind to salve or heal wounds? NO.
