Matt Schuab is a glorified back up. That little opinion (plus the lame 'Bengals in jail' pseudo joke) indicates you know nothing about football. Next.

Good answers (except for the ignoramous at #1) but frankly he's already easily in the top 5. I'd vote for Manning, Brady, Palmer in that order. Brees had a good season last year but he's not in Palmer's class, imo. And don't even mention Vick.

'Go Buckeyes'...I hear ya. Long time Bengal fan (and HUGE Bucks fan) so yes, I've heard of those guys you mentioned. Maybe I'm crazy, but I follow the creedo, "In Marvin We Trust" and have faith he'll get it done.

Sure he could, he has Brady's attitude and a much better arm. He just needs a good team around him, I think that's been proven over and over again. When the rest of the Patriots don't play well, Tom Brady doesn't make the playoffs. And until the rest of the Colts started to get better, Manning never made it to the Super Bowl. So if the rest of the Bengals can shape up, Palmer could soon be labeled the best QB.
Also, he did lead his team to the playoffs. What carson palmer is the first answer talking about? Remember where he blew out his knee? It was a PLAYOFF game. In fact, I'm pretty sure the Bengals won the division that year.

Ahhh, a beautiful question. Carson very well has the skill and talent to become on of the best QB's in football. And he is humble, not flashy. But, G*D*, those Bengals are their worse enemies. Being a "closet Bengal fan" has been rough. We have had the worse picks in NFL history: Ki-Jana Carter (but could have had Curtis Martin), Pete Koch, David Klingler (sick), Carl Pickens, Reinard Wilson (but could have had Jason Taylor)--have you heard of these guys? Yet, some were Bengals 1st round picks, OMG. Then, Akili "heel" Smith.
NOW, we finally get the some greatness: Carson Palmer and surround him with some awesome players: Henry and Johnson from Oregon, Justin Smith on D, Anderson OT, and they just want to piss it all away.
There is only 1 true answer. IF the Bengals can get their act 2gether, they could be in the AFC mix with the Pats and Colts and we would talk Brady, Manning and Palmer in the same breath. but, alas, we are the Bengals and I just don't know if it will ever happen. Palmer may retire with some of the best stats for a QB, but never a ring. S*** I hate to think about it.

He certainly has the receivers (even without Chris Henry) and the running game to help him. He also should be fully recovered from the knee injury. He may not end up with the flashiest numbers since the Bengals don't have to depend on their passing game as much as teams like the Colts, but he may be the QB that every team wishes they had in the 4th quarter when down by a touchdown.
And, IIRC, he's only 27. He can still get better & has a very bright career ahead of him.

Not the best but definitely in the top 5. I still say today that if he didn't get injured in that playoff game they would of taken all the way. He's got all the right stuff. He's big, smart with the ball, accurate, and can take a shot, with talent around him. The Bengals will rebound this season and he'll definitely through for 4,000 yrds. and 25 td's. With Chad and TJ you can be sure of that.

He has the potential, but honestly I don't see him doing it. Everyone got really high on Palmer after the game against the Colts the season before last when he ran the hurry up (no huddle) offense the whole game against the Colts and they began comparing him to Manning. Yeah he's got a good arm and good size but really, thats it. Take TJ and 85 away from him and he wouldn't be the same QB we all know today.

I like Carson Palmer. He's got all the tools, he's tough, he's leader and he's a team guy. And he's young enough that he's got some great years ahead of him. Right now he's behind Brady and Manning, could that change? possibly, I'd like to see him do well... he won me a fantasy title, but i suspect the organisation may let him down, he's totally underrated, one of the best in the game right now.

Yes he COULD but no he won't. The Bang-duhls are one of the most tallented teams out there. But without strong discipline and coaching, they'll never be a playoff caliber team. This coming from a San Diego fan with BY FAR the most talented team in the NFL, but that suffers from bad management.

Probably not he has been in the league long enough and hasn't even led the Bengals to the playoffs (can't blame him cuz they're all in jail) but have you heard of a guy named Peyton Manning or another named Tom Brady they are the best right now and when they retire it will be a guy named Schaub. Matt Schaub.

My answer? no. To freedoggy, yes he did, the steelers knocked him out in his first offensive series in which on that particular play he threw a TD pass and some believe had he not had his kneee ripped up on that play we would have had a different SB champ namely the bengals. But become the best QB, no way. Payton Manning is on his way and Palmer doesn't compare.

The best, probably not, but one of the best 5, definitely. He has star potential, and he was having a killer season the year they lost to Pittsburgh in the playoffs after his knee got messed up. He is a class guy, great quarterback, and he has a good team to back him up. Get him one more key receiver and the guy is top 5 material easy.
