If your mother says "don't chew it", do you swallow it in spite?

Embarrased to say I know the answer to this question.........But no, it does not lose its flavor. Gum loses it flavor as the "stuff" inside it is chewed out of it and swallowed. While sitting on your bedpost all of its "stuff" is still there. Yea im not all that good on the science words and stuff but this is fact. BTW it may not lose its flavor but it gets hard.

I've never left it on the bedpost, but if I have to get rid of it, I throw it in the garbage

I ended up with a short short haircut one time because I went to bed with gum in my mouth.

thats sick don't put it there an don't swallow it it could get stuck it your throat and you die for having no air + the feeling of your lungs bursting hurts (so i've heard)
