I've recently seen a preview for a movie that seems to be one long stream of fat jokes. Do you really think it is justified to laugh at the morbidly obese? Even if you argue that it is because our problems are largely self-inflicted (which is only partly the case), why don't you make jokes about heroin addicts or people who slash themselves?

No one should be made fun of their health condition. It's something that sometimes, it can't be helped, and other times it can. Whatever the case, it isn't funny at all. Everyone of us should be respected, and treated equally.

Whats funnier than a fat BLONDE woman trying to cram herself and 6 milkshakes into a mini?

Do you laugh at blonde jokes? Do you ever use the phrase "dumb blonde"? How many movies have been made about dumb blondes? IMO it isnt acceptable either, but how many people actually stop to think how offensive it can be?

So many people actually believe that blondes are dumb. And some famous brunettes are making big bucks and getting media coverage from dying their hair blonde and acting dumb and slutty.

The really funny thing is that all the blondes I know are very intelligent, and successful women, and no, none of them "slept their way to the top".

Fat jokes, blonde jokes, racist jokes arent funny. I dont even appreciate "men" jokes - and my friends know better than to email them to me or post them to the forum I manage.

People who laugh at others, make jokes about others, believe in and perpetuate stereotypes are insecure and the only way they can feel better about themselves is to make fun or or humiliate someone else. Think of the bad karma these pathetic jokers are racking up for themselves.

I used to tell my kids "criticize or laugh at someone because of their appearance, race, hair colour, gender, sexual preference. disability or whatever and you are criticizing God's work".

You can make jokes about anything and you can find funny jokes about any subject or type of person. The problem doesn't lie with the person telling the jokes, the problem lies with the hyper-sensitive person who is offended by something as simple as a joke. People like that are angry at themselves and lack self confidence. Its much easier for a person to lash out at a harmless joke teller then for that person to look deep inside themselves and realize that they are really offended by themselves. There are a ton ( no pun intended ) of overweight people who are comfortable enough with themselves to enjoy and even make jokes about themselves or others.

I know it is self inflicted (MOST OF THE TIME) but I still see no need to laugh at it. This is as immature as laughing when someone farts...it is like, its not a joke- its even kind of gross- nothing funny about it.

There are movies that make fun of addicts. Trainspotting is the most obvious movie that comes to mind.

I am overweight. I have overweight friends. We have often laughed at our fat a5ses. Once I asked a friend if a skirt made my a5s look big. Her response was, "Your a5s makes your a5s look big."

We need to lighten up. No pun intended.

No I think it is sad, human condition is not to be toyed with many people suffer and I think it is wrong to play on their negative conditions. They did not ask to be this way.
