Yes it is, but the only reason an irregular period make it harder to conceive is because it's much harder to figure out when you are ovulating. A doctor can help with that.

Yes it is, my period is irregular, I've been trying for a real long time, I've be to visit the doctor after trying for so long, the reason why i wasn't able to conceive was because I wasn't getting a normal period and when your period is irreguler some months you'll ovulate and some months you wouldn't. With irreguler period i'll be hard to predict ovulation, either your not having sex during the time of ovulation or your not ovulating, but this can be treated with a drug called clomid, I am recently on it, and my body is now doing some changes wit it.

I have always had irregular periods, and ovarian cysts, but still conceived gorgeous twin girls nearly 13 years ago. Enjoy trying!

Definitely pick up "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It teaches you how to read your fertility signs so you know when you are ovulating. You can use this book for conception or preventing.
