I'm on the depo injection and was never told of medications making it less effective, and no medication i have took have effected it, i was on it for 6 years then came off it to conceive my daughter (which took 18 months which is what they said is the norm after having the injection for 6 years), then once she was born 6 weeks later i went back on the injection, personally i think it is the best thing ever and recommend it to all the females i know, but that's just me.

St Johns Wort makes the pill less effective. It states this in the leaflets, but ask your doc to make sure.
