Oh, yes! I've seen a big increase in the harassment since I got my ugly orange badge. I'd be glad to give it back.
Of course, I'd still be hassled for being Level 7 but it's not as obvious as being a top contributor and waving that orange badge like a matador's cape to enrage the bulls/trolls.

I think it might be possible since I got a warning violation last week and I have been on this site for almost a year with no problems. It didn't even state the reason why I was being warned. It just said that it had come to their attention that I had violated the TOS at Yahoo Answers and that they might close my account without further notice in the future or something to that effect. I don't even know what I was supposed to have done wrong. I am scared to even be on here now cause I don't want my accounts closed.

Yes, I do! Absolutely! I was a top contributor and almost level 7 and someone kept reporting me for NO reason at all! I was suspended and had to start over.

I personally haven't seen an increase in problems but I've heard others that have . I"ve had more difficulties related to having many points and some assume I think I'm a big hot shot or something when I don't consider myself anything of the sort .

for many it does. you may evade a number of it via being very meticulous approximately your posts. make confident that none of them violate something. that would dissuade some trolls from reporting you. whenever you do obtain a spurious VN charm it right this moment. all and sundry. That way the have confidence point of your troll would be decreased so he or she might have a consequently lots harder time "violating" you.
