There are no "courses" in robot design: the field is too vast!
Engineering in every field is a good start: mechanics, electricity, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics are the fields you must know pretty well in the first place.
After that, google for companies that make robots (or androids, or cyborgs, or automatons etc...) and apply.
Most "robots" are the results of a precise requirement, and the shape, form and functions of the robot depends on these requirements:
A robot-sprayer, painting the body of a car will have a totally different shape than a robot-surveyor that leurk in pipe-lines to check the quality of soldering (for example).
Since robots are used everywhere and in every industry, just look for them...
