I don't usually wear anything else on my face, but often I'm just too tired to wash off my eyeliner and mascara. Are there any risks to wearing eye makeup to bed?

Of course, a lot of people say you could get eye infections and such but I have been doing for probably 13 years and never had a problem. I only wash it off in the shower the next morning--I do wash the eyeshadow off though if I wear any.

Well, depending on what products you are using, you may have problems with your eyes in the future. Wrinkles and allergies are some of those problems. Use Baby Oil to clean up your eye makeup. It is gentle and it does not cost much. It also moisturizes the skin around your eyes.

yes i used to do it all the time and the results are, i tend to wake up with broken lashes or swollen eyes cos of the eye shadows. so even if i'm too tired to remove my eye makeup, i keep a removing pad next to my bed, then i can just wipe it off quickly and briefly while on the bed and just fall asleep.

Yes. After several years, you get those little bumps on your eyelids, especially if your skin is prone to oiliness. And if you rub your eyelids in your sleep, you risk the chance of rubbing some of the makeup into your eyes.
There are plenty of products on the market now that remove makeup completely and rinse clean. Olay wipes are a good product to try.

I do the same thing. I wake up with sore eyes (itchy) sometimes but for the most part it's fine. Just make sure to wipe off the extra int he morning if there is any left over before you apply a new coat!

The make up will be absorbed into your skin and under-eyes. Take the time to take it off. If you're too tired, and, believe me, I know exactly how you feel, buy some eye make up remover pads. A few wipes and the make up is gone.

You should never sleep in any makeup! Everynight you sleep in your makeup your skin ages 10 days!!!!!! Eyes are the first place you get wrinkles. Not to mention the bacteria and infections you could get.

Yes there are, unfortunately!! You can get a serious eye infection!! My mother used to wear her makeup to bed and she had to getthese eedrop things and idk i was too little!! she got a really bad infection, her eyes were all blood shot and red, they were watery and she told me they burned and her vision was blurry. I know this cuz when i started to wear makeup i too was lazy, but she told me what happened to her and i decided not to wear my makeup to bed any more. she said it took some time to get the infection, but she got it!! It can also damage your skin terribly, my mom said that her doctor told her she really could have damaged her eyes!!sorry, but i hope this helps you out!

well i think the worst thing that could happen is you could get a sty because that happened to me once. its always best to wash it all off though and its not so hard. just use eye makeup remover with a cotton ball and it comes right off.
