ive been thinking about this for a while, could it be that our earth is going to dry up like mars did..... dont you think that all this warming up and no more raining or snowing, ozon or things will let this poor earth dry?
do you know, all this makes me feel that, there might have been life on mars before earth and things like star gate could be true.... are these ideas to childish or do you think so too, or what?

Well, I am kind of confused about your question...If there is (which I dont dispute) Global Warming, then there is increased evaportaion which in turn means increased precipitation. If there is increased precipitation, then the earth is not drying up.

As for the ozone, it is repairing itself...

As for life on Mars...I am sure that MAY have been some in the past. If there was, they probably moved out of the neighborhood, when they realized we moved in....can ya blame them?

All seriousness though. Global warming appears to be occurring. Is it caused by humans...I seriously doubt it.

Scientists say we are the cause...too much fuel emissions and waste...well IF that is the cause of an ice age, tell me, what caused the previous SEVERAL ice ages...you know, the ones back when dinosaurs were driving the SUV's...

Scientists say ( love those words when used together...makes me want to laugh sometimes) that earth is warming about half a degree celsius a decade ( some more, some less)...

Others are now saying the same thing is CURRENTLY happening on Mars...if so, will this thaw the frozen planet and freeze the thawed one? Can we move next door?

And better yet...WHAT would cause BOTH planets to warm at nearly the same rate? COuld it possibly have something to do with the big fireballs in the sky that BOTH planets absorb all our solar radiation from?

If'n I was a betting man, I would say it is the sun and non-terrestrial happening that are causing globle warming....BUT I am still looking at NASA's pictures for SUV's on Mars too...

Who knows

Earth isnt drying up, yea its getting warmer which means ice caps are melting causing floods etc, ok then say that water dries up and its dry land and no seas/ oceans, is that what mars used to be i dunno, i dont think the earth will dry up, we cant help it, only the government can by making more places to recycle , and energy efficient homes, solar energy, costs a lot but in a few hundred yea when the melted ice caps makes there was to land, the government will be forced to take action not but protesting etc but by mother nature itself. Because if they dont, they wont have have a country to govern and theyll be wasting resourses on flood repairs etc, even worse than katrina etc.

it is possible because it is predicted that the Sun will be 2,000 times stronger than it is now and it will dry up all the water on earth evaporating all bodies of water in a few billion years from now. But we did find evidence of water on Mars that was once there and i agree with you that it is possible that life existed once because it is a rocky planet and it is shaped like Earth but I think that there's more of a chance of life once being on Gliese 851 than Mars, but that's my opinion.

As the universe is as vast as eternity, I would think it highly arrogant of us to think life couldn't exist anywhere else except on our planet.
