Okay is it me or if someone without money gets a DUI they get five to ten years in jail and pay a fines, but celebrities get a slap on the wrist or sit in a detention center playing on there sidekicks or watch cable tv. I think it's ridiculous that Paris Hilton get to go home because she broke out in a rash. Just because her herpes flared up shouldn't give her the right to go home and relax.

i asked the same question a few days ago. I'm sick and tired of the whole Paris issue or any celeb issue. The media goes into a frenzy as soon as Paris or any other celeb does something we ordinary folks do. The media is so full of sh!t now a days it's like they tell you what you want to hear. I want the real news and don't say watch CNN becuase those mutherfuccerz show celeb BS on their station too. The media has screwed our perception of the news that we don't even know what we're watching BS or news. Right now there is some celeb out there taking a walk and if they happen to trip and hurt their knee I'm sure it'll be all over the news. Whereas there is a child somewhere who needs help in some way or about the buisness person helping in the community but the media won't cover it because they are not famous enough.

I have heard of child molestors, and robbers, get off in less than a year..or probation. I think people are focusing too much attention on Paris Hilton, when they should be focused on more important things.

I agree with you. I do not think it is fair. Whatever happened to "liberty and justice for all" and "all men are created equal" when the punishment is based on how "rich and famous" a person happens to be. I think that all this attention on the "system" may cause some changes to be made in the way punishment is dispensed. At least I hope it is time for a review.

When it was reported that she had a rash. I thought maybe she broke out in hives. Stress causes some people to break out in hives really bad.
I don't know if I'm more bothered by her treatment or the fact that so many people are paying so much attention to this case.

There's nothing like beautiful, famous women and their issues to distract us from the things that are really important. Sometimes I think the news narrows our minds instead of broadening our horizons. We obsess over the same issues, and some of them are important (i.e., global warming), but other are junk food for the mind. It's partly the media's responsibility for dwelling on the celebrity nonsense, and partly our responsibility for caring about it.

No one. I think the sheriff, the lawyer and the psychiatrist had this planned from the get go...I mean who get's punished by having to lve in their luxurious home??? Not the normal american I'll tell you that.

It wasn't a rash. She wasn't eating and did not pass standard psychological evaluation, in which stated she was not in a mental state to continue to be incarcerated. Things happen. She's out of jail; oh well, no big deal. The media makes a scene out of everything. She's still on probation and she's under house arrest , no big deal!

I think that the underlying issue is not with Paris Hilton, we are more concerned with fairness in the justice system. Think larger, more critically.

She is soooooooooooooo stupid and b****. I can't stand the girl. She was dumb to not read her contract she signed then blamed it on her publicist. Not too long ago I saw a video of her being racist on youtube. Somebody video taped her dumba**. She was saying the N word and called asians chink. I hope this b***** goes to hell. Anybody else agree?
