It is a tie between "Steel Magnolias" and "Terms of Endearment". There is something about a child being left behind without a mother that gets to me. If you want a classic watch "Imitation of Life" as well

The Last of the Mohicans. I just can't help it, I tear up whenever I watch it. It just breaks my heart that Alice and Uncas can't be together. You see how much he loves her, but he never expresses it, except when he goes to rescue her and he dies for her. It's also sad because Alice then drops herself off the cliff, not realizing that help is on the way, then Chingachgook realizes his only son is dead and he is the last one of his tribe left. The scene is just so emotional and the music is perfect for it.
