I've tried potpourri and it only smells for a few days, I've tried simmering potpourri on the stove and you could only smell it in one area. I'm frustrated! Please only answer if you know something that works for sure. Thankyou!

Are you wanting to Eliminate an odor?, or have it constantly smelling?

To eliminate an odor I would suggest a bowl of vinegar and a separate bowl of Activated Charcoal to absorb them. Also a bowl of baking powder.

To have a constant smell, it's always been there. The thing is that you're IMMUNED to the smell and don't think it's working. To see the effect you would need to leave the house and re-enter or have a different person tell you if they're smelling it.

some of the things I've used are Incense, the Candle Warmer thingy (like a coffee warmer for cups), and Aromotherapy diffuser.

Febreze, both the regular to spray your carpet, furniture and curtains and the air freshener kind to spray.

And yes, Yankee Candles have some made to permeate throughout the house; they're great!
