So Jason is leaving the show...again. I'm thrilled because his character is a boring mess. He can't lie, but he can lie about his son? He took in Michael and can't take in his own?

All he does anymore is do nothing for Sonny, make blank stares and talk about not talking about things.

Your thoughts?

I doubt that he is leaving for good. I think that it is just the summer off. But it is past time for something to be done with his character. He and Sonny tend to drag down the show because they are bad guys who don't get caught. I would like to see both of them move away from the mob. With Sonny it is hard but with Jason it is easy. A brain injury that reverts him to Jason Q could be played to amazing effect. Is Jason Q to be held accountable for Jason M's crimes? How would he feel about Sam? Liz? Jake? Carly? Sonny (who Jason Q hated)? Robin? The whole world opens up to a lot of possibilities. What if he slowly remembered his life as Jason Q. You now have a "good guy" not connected to the mob with all the Skills that Jason M has developed.

It would also give Steve Burton a chance to stretch his acting abilities which may be one of the reasons he is even thinking of leaving. Got to be boring playing an EMO hit man for that long

No, Jason won't leave General Hospital. He is just taking a break. Because the show wouldn't be the same without his character because he affects many people, Carly, Sonny, Sam, Liz, Emily, etc. Yes, his story lines are a bit boring because of the Elizabeth/Sam and baby situation. I think the writers messed up when they made him the father. Secondly, I' am tried of the Elizabeth and Jason relationship, they don't fit each other, period and the writers need to let it go! Personally, I always thought Jason belong with Carly just like the classic episodes.

As a long, long, long time fan of GH, I have to say NO, NO, NO....to Jason leaving!!!!!! So don't get your hopes up, he is just going off for the summer to either do a pilot show for prime time TV or some other acting project. A lot of the actors on this show have that sort of thing written into their contracts, i.e., the option to do outside projects. Tony Geary (Luke) takes off for months at a time to work on the stage and summer stock, etc. Whatever the arrangements are for these actors, the writers always find some storyline so they can be off the show...like maybe Jason will go to jail for killing Alcazar?????

I agree, Jason is now a bore! I like Thomas G's idea about him getting another brain injury and reverting back to Jason Quartermaine. That would be a thrill to watch!

If Jason ever have been to get "killed off" primary scientific institution could loose way too many visitors. he's a key character to incredibly plenty absolutely everyone on the instruct. He interacts with absolutely everyone, and he's a fan sought after. he's been on the instruct because he replaced right into a young person. (on and stale of direction). No he isn't dying.

I've been disappointed with the way Jason's been lately. He's so different now. Kind of annoying. Also, I heard that he's not actually leaving, just taking the summer off and will be back...don't know if that's true or not, though.

No I am not happy. I think they should allow the character to grow as he is doing. Time for him to move away from Sonny and see what else is out there.

I don't want to see him go, but I totally agree that his story lines suck lately. He is always there for everyone else, but no one (except possibly Spinelli and Lulu) is there for him. And when someone tries to be there for him, he doesn't allow it.

The writers need to shake up his storyline. Also, I think he needs to visit with Tracy and maybe get some closure with his ghostly father. That really sucked that he was too late when Alan died!
