Yeah, the internet is great, but it's also time to start talking to people that aren't netizens.
Sadly, there will always be people like Sally who are looking for the some "appropriation" and just don't get Ron's message. They don't get the fact that it's the Tom DeLay's who were so good at appropriation politics that put us into the mess we're in.
But I'm not worried about that. There are enough people in this country who want less government in their lives, and not more.
I do find it amusing how many people are able to say unequivocally that he "has no chance" a full 18 months before the election. Do they know how low Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter were polling this far out? Do they remember what all the "mainstream" Republicans were saying about Ronald Reagan at this stage of the primary?
This is the right time, and Ron Paul is the right candidate for this time. I've never been more convinced of anything.

Sally - You would be much better off to vote for McCain, Guiliani, or Romney. Then those jobs can be taken by illegal aliens that they grant amnesty to and you'll have that nice new NAFTA superhighway running through your state.
It's strange how you accuse Ron Paul of all of these wrongdoings yet you fail to provide one shred of proof to back up your claim. It's also amazing that he keeps getting reelected if he is causing the people of Texas such strife.
In reply to Sally's response: It sounds to me like you should be taking your anger up with the people who appropriated that money, not Ron Paul. Withholding appropriations because they don't like a particular congressman is dishonest and shady to say the least. As far as the "illegal card", I'm not trying to pull anything on you. You (hopefully) know as well as I do that the mainstream Republican and Democratic candidates have no desire to close off our borders and deport the law breakers that are already here.

yes. I've told everyone I know about Ron and demanded that they read "Dianetics" and buy every "Mission Impossible" DVD.
Oh, you meant that other guy. Guess I got my Ron Messiahs mixed up.
I'll stick with my Ron. He's got way cooler celebrities and I'll bet your Ron couldn't even clear a secondary, much less a past life engram chain.

Yes and I agree with the comment on the webpage that you referenced.
What really matters are registered voters who will bother to vote in the Republican Presidential Primaries, especially in the early primary states such as: New Hampshire, Iowa (the Iowa Caucauces),South Carolina, Arizona,California and so on. Any 8 year old with a computer can vote in a non scientific internet poll as can someone in Japan, China,Pakistan,The Chech Republic and many other countries who (the person doing the voting) will never become an American citizen.
Registered voters who are likely to vote on Primary Day in person or by Absentee (mail) ballot are the key. And I mention Ron Paul (verbally) in person to people very often.

Ron Paul is a nutjob that has no idea who our enemies are. There is no way he gets the nomination let alone the Presidency. He is a genius at being able to attract so many lemmings, though. I have to commend him for that.

You bet! I tell as many people as will listen how I voted for him the last time he ran and how he has screwed over his constituents here in Texas and how I will never vote for him again. I tell them how his no votes have cost us jobs, millions of dollars in infrastructure repair, and our reputation in congress and the people that are represented by the laughable Ron Paul. So, yeah. You bet I've told people about Ron! And it's 110% negataive. Daily.
