Is there a way I can modify my screen (monitor) on my laptop so that I can use it outside?

Very frustrating that I have to be stuck inside working, especially when it is sunny outside. I just cannot see my screen. Is there a way to change the contrast or something else to make it more visible?

The high-gloss screens are supposed to be better in the outdoors, like the Dell TruLife. Or, you could try an anti-glare film.

I wish there was a way to modify the screen but thus far I have not seen anything that does this.

Probably not cause it's a limitation of LCD hardware and no software can fix it.
