I attend college full time and work full time, and cannot find good health insurance for a student who can make rent and eat food, (no extra money). Most places I have checked are high rates with ridiculous co-pays, please help.

It is true that most college students are covered by their parents health insurance plan, but if this is not the case check with admissions because sometimes you are covered under a student coverage (fees at enrollment) you also might have access to the school medical clinic. If none of these are the case then you might consider looking for a plan that you can afford and will fit your needs.
1. Accident only plan.
2. high deductible major medical with a 20-35 dr office co-pay.
3. Unicare offers a plan designed for students my site is http://www.collegesoundhealth.com/

Hope this helps

Full time students can be covered under parents insurance if under a certain age...usually around 25. If you are not eligible for that then look into insurance offered by your school..that is usually a cheap alternative, or bite the bullet and take out a student loan to cover the cost.

Full time college students should still be covered by their parents' insurance.
