Should resign thomas. Trade marion to the bulls for tyrus thomas ,Loul Deng and the 9th draft pick overall. Marion is making to much money for the suns to keep, unless he takes a pay cut trade him east.Release Jalen Rose,he doesnt fit the suns system and should move on to another team.Sign Marcus Camby if u can ,he is a great rebounder and good inside presents

i'm not a suns fan but i find this question interesting so here's my two cents worth!
i think the suns can do better without thomas, ideally; trading thomas would be the better scenario but i'm guessing that not too many teams are enamored with a guy in his mid 30's with no exceptional talent.
i mean cmon let's face it, thomas is no shaq! shaq in his declining mid 30's is still far more impressive than thomas was in his prime.
next off, i think the suns should release marcus banks whom they rarely used (was totally invisible during the playoffs). he's better off playing somewhere else, the suns while admittedly needs a back-up for steve nash are actually too dependent on nash to give him rest. so in my opinion, they should just trade banks and get boris diaw to play point forward the way he did a year ago.
as for signing free agents, i think the suns don't need any major retooling; another agile big man will do and more shooters..the suns are primed to climb over the hump and they may probably do it next year.

First of all, the Suns lost to the Spurs again because the Suns played no defense. So we need defenders. Raja Bell is our best defender and Marion is the second best.
Trade Barbosa for Shane Battier from the Rockets. And since Barbosa has more star power than Battier, the Suns can probably get a second round draft with along with him. Battier is one of the best defenders in the league, and he is consistent being the only Rocket other than Yao and McGrady to score at least 12 points in every game of the Playoffs. The Rockets need a PG anyway. So it's a win-win situation. It's fair.
As for Marion, he might or might not deserve all that money. He isn't the one who choked. Amare is. So Amare isn't going to be trade because there aren't too many good centers. Maybe trade Amare for Oden, that's about it, but Portland is not going to give up their first round pick. So Amare is staying.
And Marion, if he has to go, must get at least the equivalent of defending skills he got. Someone mentioned Tyrus Thomas, Loul Deng, and the 9th draft pick overall. That sounds about right; sweeten the deal with Jalen Rose, Chicago will take it. And with that 9th pick, the Suns may be able to draft Acie Law or whoever to be the backup point guard spot left emptied from the Barbosa-Battier trade. There are 3 good point guards in the draft and they aren't going to be gone in the as top 9.
I'll also trade Boris Diow to whoever for future draft picks to give room for Tyrus Thomas as backup center instead. He will go to whoever is willing to trade the highest pick for.
And Tim Thomas... I don't know. If he wants to go somewhere else, let him go somewhere else. If he wants to stay, let him stay. We need his 3 points, somewhat... But he isn't that important.
The Suns need to be able to run and defend.
Steve Kerr, are you listening?

Trade Shawn Marion to Portland for Zach Randolph or to Washington for Antwan Jamison. They need help on the bench or a coach who has some confidence in his bench in the playoffs. I agree with the earlier poster, drop Jalen Rose if you aren't going to play him. There are plenty of SF/PF's in this draft so they should get a few of them to help out their bench.

Raja Bell and Jalen Rose they don't do much most of the time and i know a few teams that could use their talent like Detroit, Dallas, and Minnesota just to name a few or even the Celtics I know Paul Pierce must want some more help

They need to keep their starters and get some better backups. The only good one they have is Leandro Barbosa.
