I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent. I had the tires balanced and rotated yesterday because the car was shaking a lot and seemed very wobbly at certain speeds. I figured this would take care of the problem. It took car of most of the problems but now at slow speeds the car kind of wobbles side to side a bit (mostly when slowing down). Any idea what else it could be. I hope it's nothing serious because I don't have the money to take care of this right now.

It was aligned two months ago and nothing would have caused it to be bad already.

And I rotated the tires yesterday when I balanced them.

The place I went to was Wal-Mart so that may explain why no attention to detail was paid. haha Anyway, I have a lifetime balance and rotation so it's free for me there. I thought for sure this time that a balance was all the tires needed.

Because you said it took care of most of the problem, I have to say you have a bad tire and the shop didn't notice the wobbly tire while balbancing it. You will probably need a new tire when you go back to them. It could be a warped rim. When you get the money for a tire, they will check it out more closely and find the problem specifically. If you go back and they check it and can't find the problem, go somewhere else and don't use that shop anymore.

does it hapen only when you put on the brakes if so a brake roter might be out of round if so you can drive it untill you get the money to fix. im a shop owner and a master tech. also you might want to have the wheel nuts check and make shure thay are all tight. a bad tire can also do this but thay should have seen this when thay balanced the tires.
