In my personal opinion, what I get out of it is people are judged by what they wear, how they look. If you look good, then you must be a person of great quality.

To be honest I believe that as well as meaning clothes can change a person completely ( just like feathers can change a bird) but I also believe it to mean that even though someone might not seem beautiful at first glance , with proper attire you might find a beauty that u had never expected to in the first place! Like u know that situation where the nerd suddenly changes into a beauty just by taking off her glasses and wearing a dress, then suddenly all the guys say ' she was pretty all along' another example would be Cinderella. So anyway hope my take in it made sense :)
