Jarrod Saltalamacchia has some potential and I believe the Braves will hold on to him to see what he can do. I actually saw him play a minor league game in Myrtle Beach a few years ago and he had a good game and was impressive. He is hitting near .300 with the Braves and has some pop in his bat and he may be able to help the Braves.

In my opinion, they will entertain trade offers soon. The Braves will determine what their needs are to secure a spot in the playoffs and use Salty as trade bait to secure a player(s) who can fill that need. The Braves are in a win-win situation, having Brian McCann as well. One of them is expendable and I expect the Braves will keep McCann who made the All Star game last year and is a proven player now at the Major League level.

THis question has already been raised to the Braves. They have no desire to trade him. He is a unquie catcher in that he switch hits. I know things change but as of now they will not be talking trade for him.

We here in Mississippi (home of AA team) really miss getting to watch Salty play on a nightly bases in person.
