To be honest, you should have prepared well ahead of putting them together in the first place. But since that's not an option at this point we can pick it up from here. Keep a close eye on things in the tank. They will spawn some eggs and the female will swim away while the male picks up the eggs and blows them into the nest. Then he will allow the female back under the nest. When they have finished spawning, he will no longer allow her under the nest and will chase her away when she approaches. That's when you need to remove the female from the tank.

You will have about 2 days to get food ready for the fry. A good starter food is infusoria. Put a little crushed lettuce in a jar of tank water and place it so that it will get sunlight. It will get green and then milky white in color. That's when you have a good infusoria colony. It may not get to that pint in time for you so I would suggest you have some liquid fry food on hand just in case. You can get that at most pet stores. While at the store, be sure to get some brine shrimp eggs as that's the next food they will need and can begin eating that about a week after they are free swimming. Directions for hatching them will be on the container. At first your Betta fry can only eat brine shrimp that is a few hours old, so hatch a container twice a day. Within a week they will be able to eat day old shrimp so you can then hatch it out once a day. This is the primary food for them for the next month. You can also buy frozen baby brine shrimp to begin feeding them when they are about 3 weeks old. Slowly swap them from live to frozen so they have time to learn that the frozen is food.

If I can help any more please feel free to email me.

After they are done carefully remove the female Betta and put her in a tank by herself for a few weeks. She needs this time to recover. The male must be kept in the tank with the fry until they are free swimming. Make sure you keep him well feed and not more than what he will eat in a few minutes. Your male Betta will take care of the fry until they are free swimming. At that time put him in a tank by himself so that he can recover from taking care of the fry. Then they become free swimming you will need to start feeding the some micro worms 2 to 3 times daily. You can get micro worm cultures from members of your local Aquarium Society or their are some places on the web that have them as well.

Did you research? Please tell me you have some kind of food for the fry because they will need to be fed in about 3-4 days...
Anyway watch them closely, spawning can take anywhere from 2-10 hours. Remove the female when the male chases her from the nest. Go to this web site, it has alot of information on this...http://www.bettysplendens.com/articles/page.imp?articleid=722

Your going to have to take mom out after dad is done. You shall know this when he chases her away from the babies in the nest. in 2-3 days when the babies are free swimming (when they have the egg sack attached their getting their nutrients from that) you want to start them on a diet of microorganisms. i have found theese sites very helpfull in spawning.
