i had some that could only be explained as a vision but you would need to be religious to understand the concept
think about it if the bible is true and we were spirits before we came here and we are spirits living in a temporary mortal body aarrg it would take a long time to get the point across

Any answer to this question is going to be highly subjective, but here goes.

If you believe in, or WANT to believe in supernatural events and powers, then you will probably explain your dream coming true by saying that you predicted it or it was your destiny, or god chose you for it.

If, however, you think that there are no supernatural events or powers, then you will likely consider your dream coming true as a coincidence.

Dreams can be very specific or very vague, and the degree to which the real life event matched the dream will probably push you towards one of the above explanations over the other.

Personally, I tend towards the latter explanation, because there is no way to show a causal connection - that my dream actually CAUSED the events to happen.

When I think about what I call a coincidence, I remind myself that the variables in each of our daily lives are almost infinite. So, the chances of anything happening at least once to us that we can imagine (or dream) are fairly high over the course of one lifetime.

For example, think about when a bird poops on a person. I would guess that that only happens to any specific person a few times in their whole life. But there are a LOT of birds... so it could happen any day. But it is UNLIKELY to happen often.

I am of course not comparing your dream to getting pooped on by a bird, I am just trying to illustrate a way of thinking about unlikely events.

I hope it was a good dream.

Certain people have the power of intuition which some times comes through their dreams. it could also be the ESP( Extra sensory perception). It happened to one Peter Hurkos, a dutch man who during second world war fell from a tall building and after that he could tell any body's past, present and future. This is called the ESP, which was proved by doctors and psycho analysts of France and USA.

I don't attempt to explain it, I accept it as a gift. Not always a terribly useful gift...(sometimes the dreamed of event is just not all the earth-shaking! There have been times though...) I also believe that "ESP" is usually just really highly functioning "intuition" (i.e. your brain had taken bits and pieces and welded them together and used them to make a prediction). People with high functioning intuition can use smaller, less obvious bits! Good luck!

That frequently happens to me, but I am a lucky person. Science will say that it is a coincidence. A religious person or spiritual person will tell you that it is your inner mentality predicting the future. It depends on which person you believe is right.
