Hiya,
do you think it is right that some of the celebs like madonna etc flaunt there religions, and i think i even seen on the tv that madonna swims in water that has been blessed etc.

i am all for purifying (sp) the sole etc, and i am all for relgions, but i think the way they they (or more possibly the media push in on it) is not a good thing to do.

religion isnt a fashion statement in my eyes, but it is getting made out to be like that.

what are your thoughts on this?

xx

j4Rose, i agree
but celebs seem to have more of a way of getting the word out better than anyone else.

also, i personally feel religion is for your own self, and if people 'want to know' about the religion then they can ask, rather than have it shoved in there face thinking it is 'cool'.

Other people use and abuse their religion all the time. Celebrities are no different.

Religion itself is not a fashion statement and no one should flaunt about ones religion, according to me it is a very personal thing and one should treasure the moments spent in the company of God and not to go Ga Ga about it

Religion should be a private matter. In regards to celebs' beliefs, I must seek that information out. What bothers me much more is when evangelical Christians try to foist their beliefs, unsolicited, on me.

i agree, it is like the latest craze.
mind you, it seems to be a long lasting one.

i really believe that religion should always be a personal thing, and ANYONE who tries to push religion, or try and persuade people to go with a religion, shame on them!!!!!!!

I agree. I don't think religion should be a fashion statement. It should be something that somebody does because they feel its right or it makes them happy, etc.
