from past two days, i am constantly being annoyed by the ticking sound of the indicators which start as soon i turn on the ignition of my 92 accord. last night i found that the left turn indicator keeps on blinking abruptly all the time, but not with same brightness and it doesnt show in the dashboard either. the ticking is faster than the normal ticking, i wonder whats the problem with the signals. please help me with this.

Either you have a short, or your bulb is burned out.

there's a little clip in there and after a while they can break off from years of use. When they break, then it doesn't make that click to make connection, and it stays on, doesn't go off by itsself. If it's ticking and it's off, then it's a wiring problem or a bad fuse.

usually when it ticks faster, it's a way of telling you that a bulb or fuse is out. You'll need to replace it.

Your turn signal flasher unit is probably bad and should be replaced. You can buy one to fit your car at any auto parts store, or have a mechanic replace it for you.
