Hi, I have a dell 962 inkjet printer. I usually refill my printer cartridges with no problems, but this time my dell color cartridge which i am refilling for the first time is not working properly. The printer just prints ignoring the color, the refilled black works fine though. I think it may be a problem with the cartridge contacts but any help/comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

Just putting ink in the cartridge doesn't mean it is going to work.

if the cartridge is clogged or was not printing properly prior to refilling, it will not print again.

Several things could be the issue. The cartridge was un used and the nozzles dried out.

The cartridge was run empty and the print head has fused.

The ink you used to refill the cartridge is too dense to pass through the print head.

Regardless f the reason the only remedy is to replace the cartridge.

Use Isopropol alcohol and some Q-tips to clean the contacts.

They're clean when the Q-tip remains clean.
