wow I just watched this on TV last night!! put some mayonnaise on them (don't laugh it's the oil in the mayo) and rub it in, leave for 30 minutes, and then scrape off with a scraper or blunt knife or something - it's magic, they come off really easily!!

I have been there.
My daughter stuck my little ponies on a brand new bed frame.
The best and least damaging way is to gently scrape off as much as you can with out gougineg the wood then put some WD40 on the remaining bits and sticky stuff and let it sit for a few minutes then just wipe them off with a regular towel or sponge. Repeat as needed till it is all off. If you do not have WD40 use any type of oil (cooking will even work.)
When you have it all off just clean with a little soap and water. Dry completly.
And then give your son a special place (say a piece of Cardboard taped to the bedroom wall) so that he can place his prized stickers in the future.

Try and peel as much of the sticker off as possible, use a spoon handle to scrape it off. It might be an idea to wipe the sticker with nail polish remover as that will dissolve the glue - it may mark the wood though....

Pull off as much sticker as possible and the residue that gets left behind you need to spray furniture polish on it then scrub area with the duster. You should find it comes off quite easily.

As suggested try WD40 and a scapel but you can remove the remaining glue easily by using some standard lighter fluid (not the gas)...but I would hesistate on the steaming suggestion as it will most likely damage the wood

GooGone, WD40 and one more to add to that Windex. There is ammonia in windex and that will sometimes cut glue. Whatever you use you might want to try and score or scrap the top layer lightly to allow whatever you use to soak in. Remember let the product you choose do the work patients will pay of . Good Luck

There are numerous ways to remove them. You can use rubbing alcohol or cooking oil or nail polish remover or you can buy Goo Gone at any department store.
