i have a honda 89 civic hb and it has a new b16 5,000 miles and a msd and cold air?

i was told i can beat a 01 tiburan i have 187 to the wheels and my car weighs 1900 pounds can i beat him the tiburan has a cold air and exhaust!!

I dont know who told you that HP amount but with those being your only mods there is NO WAY you have 187 HP. You would have had to gain 45+ HP from the cold air and MSD. the B16 only puts down 142-145 HP at the wheels from the factory. A cold air will only add 3-6 HP and the MSD maybe 5-7. I would seriosly check into some dyno time if you are interested you are more than likley about 155-160 HP at the wheels.

4 cyl vs 4 cyl. Be carefull the V-6 is plenty potent. Getting your 185 to the ground is equally important. Get on the drag strips web sites and see if you can find this guys name and strip times before you lay down any cash. Buy a set of Nitto drag radials set the pressure at about 18 psi and have fun be safe. Know who you are running look for blue bottles of NO2 and weird piping to the manifold. You should learn the drill.

good shot at it, i would think...it will go down to reaction times and how well the driver knows their car...if they have the v-6 though, you might wanna be cautious about betting any cash...
