now is forever
sooner still
but it never was soon enough
For a lingering mind
rolling in the dusts,
or lost in the mist of the loopy paths,
starting here, and ending now
in the moment now.

Lasting and changing all at once
a wonderful metaphor
never staying, never leaving
always giving, always taking
the moment now is
the moments all.

All that I have time for you
all that you have time for me
being you,
and being me
changing me, and changing you
all in time that is now
and then very soon I will be I
sooner than I can think
better than I can be.

But the moment now always stays
as winter nights or summer days
a wonderful companion forever
in my rapid changing times.

No sooner did I see it come
than it is already now,
it will be then now again
someone kind!
someone to stop this!
now and here

well if now was the time u typed the question, then soon has already passed, but if now is always soon, then it is soon now. which leaves later to represent in a while, since soon means now, and now has just passed. but the real question is when does soon become the past, if it is now the present.

now is a word that means the present moment. It a way to pick out one moment in the endless continuum of time & point at it. Now can be a past moment or a future moment or the present moment.

past william shouted tell me NOW
present refering to the moment you read this sentence as now
future people of the future will think ......now.... many times

If your question is refering to the ever present NOW IE the now that is present & not past or future then it is not soon at all because soon is waiting for a future moment.

nobody lives in the infinite now. were either a step behind or a step ahead. So now, is either a moment ago, or slightly ahead of the exact moment about which youre attempting to ask the question. Though, by the time the synapse even gets to your brain the moment is gone, because in a second at least 1000 moments have already happened.

My grandad always says that technically there is no such thing as the true present for human beings. Something to do with that as soon as you think of 'now' as in this exact 'moment' in time, it's gone. I guess the time it takes to think it and the time for the brain neurones etc would kinda make sense.

So there is only the past and the future in practice.

I am the son
and the heir
of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

There's a club if you'd like to go
you could meet somebody who really loves you
so you go, and you stand on your own
and you leave on your own
and you go home, and you cry
and you want to die

When you say it's gonna happen "now"
well, when exactly do you mean?
see I've already waited too long
and all my hope is gone

You shut your mouth
how can you say

soon enough for ya? prefer the version done by tatu. the song rocks but is soooo depressing when the smiths did it.
