Some of the people here don't know that you in the UK call french fries, ''chips'' forgive them. I will tell you how you can make McDonalds ''chips'', first you must use a peanut oil (5 cups boiling) add 2 tablespoons of honey and fry thinly sliced potatoes and there you go,(as said in the States) Micky D fries.

I know they are nice ,,, BUT,,,,,,,
Swedish study showing that deep fried foods could be a cause of cancer, two California environmental groups are planning to sue McDonalds and Burger King to force them to put a toxic warning label on their servings of the deep fried potato chips,
Potato chips were invented in the summer of 1853 by a Native American named
George Crum while he was chef at the Moon Lake Lodge, Sarasota Springs, NY.
"secret" is the same for both chips and fries -- double fry
them. I fry them for two to three minutes, remove them and let them rest for a few minutes on paper towels, then return to hot oil for maybe 30 seconds (you'll know when the sound crispy when stiring them). Works every time. and the secret (here we go), was using oil that contained Beef Tallow.

That was pretty much a secret on how they made their french fries.
I have the recipe that I got from my cookbook called :The Best of Top Secret Recipes by Todd Wilbur. On page 70 is the secret of how to make them.

Dude, you can't. Subway serves potato chips & tortilla chips & corn chips as an appetizer with their sandwiches & drinks. Want chips, then go buy your own at the store.

Firstly get some old cardboard, cut into strips and then fry in what appears to be old engine oil. Tastes about the same. Enjoy.

We call them French Fries here in the states. You must be in Britain? anyway, the potatoes and oil are well guarded secrets due to proprietary concerns.
