I'm well in touch with prejudice and injustice. I, too, have been on the receiving end of it, but what is happening here? The hatred is becoming overwhelming. Can't people see what they have in common and celebrate the differences? Why not try loving your neighbour? (No jokes about that, please!)

Jewel - you are, of course, right. I had pondered long and hard whether to say anything at all, and had previousy deleted this question before eventually posting it anyway. Luckily, there hasn't been much adversity to it. Also, I do always report abuse (not just things I disagee with - real racial hatred, anti-semetism. anything that is socially divisive. It is not the way forward to perpetuate hate!

The comment about 'bomber jackets' and loving your neighbour isn't seeing the whole picture. In my opinion.

I've reported racist and religious abusive language to Yahoo and have answered this question many times before. Yahoo always promises to investigate, but then I get no feedback, so I have no idea what, if anything, is being done.

We live in a very dangerous world. Those of us who object to the type of hate mail allowed on Yahoo must continue to voice our objections. Also, when there's a hate mail on the site, click "Report Abuse," follow the directions, and make a short, concise report. Complaining won't do it, action will.

Well you will certainly encourage more of the same when posting a question like that. Many will call you just to irritate.

If we don't all pull together soon - we won't all continue on this wonderful planet that is currently home to us all.

Racists are stupid people.

With that in mind, would you pay anyone any mind that was constantly stupid?

Therefore, wouldn't it be prudent to say that it is stupid to argue with stupidity?

If we ignored them, then they'd move on to other pastures.

They do it to push our buttons --- they really know deep down inside their opinions are worthless and stupid, but they can't admit it because they are stupid.

Nuff said?

Their weak, they can not accept change. They do not want to challenge and to better themselves. Forget them because hell is where they will burn.
